Hello Kitty for Aisyah

She loves Hello Kitty, her special request is, it has a hello kitty on top there, the rest is all up to me, then i make it as hello kitty theme, in white-pink color.
Alhamdulillah she loves it very much....and i am happy too....

TOPSY TURVY CAKE

 A bit shock when got this ordered, was thinking she just wanna a standard tier cake, but she wanted a TUPSY TURVY cake....alamak!!! "think...think..think".

Deeply inside my heart i was happy that time, because the deepest depths I always wanted to make a tupsy turvy cake.  Always thinking how to make it without using a proper pan for this cake. Means how to carving this cake....its a big challenge.

I was encourage myself to take this opportunity to make it happen. I informed my customer that i never make this cake before, but I will try to do my best to make it. Then she was agreed.

Time clicked very fast, was thinking wanna do trial at the first, but i cannot, since the other orders keep coming, no time to do trial, but every day I always review, read, asked for tutorial for my pen pal Ajeng Melani who stays in Belfast, Ireland. She made tupsy turvy cake before with 2 tier. We had many discussion about this project, until the day it came to baked, prepared, carved,.....etc. Even not perfect but Thank You Allah, i managed to made this.

when received the message from my customer, i am so happy.....Alhamdulillah.

Birthday Cake and Tumpeng for Shifa & Azida

In the last minute order has to think what kind of cake design which suitable for 2 girls. Their mom asked something girly and universal for girl, in pink color and blue.
So after discussed with the mother, and agreed the idea, here's the cake design for the young girls "A round box cake" , using a chocolate cake as basic cake with chocolate ganache.

Beside the birthday cake, barbie tumpeng also ordered to celebrate the family party. Thanks a million for the ordered mom...and may all of you had a great birthday party.

GUITAR CAKE

Kaaan...sampe lupa posting si Guitar cake ini, hihihi...beginilah kalau jarang update blog. Jadi ada saja yang ke skipped. Orderan guitar cake ini berbarengan dengan orderan si Hello Kitty, jadilah ngerjainnya marathon. Based cakenya vanilla cake biasa, tadinya mau rainbow cake juga, tapi berhubung cakenya akan di carving jadi rasanya lebih ribet kalau menggunakan raibow cake.

Seneng-seneng bingung kalau dapat orderan yang belum pernah aku buat, apalagi kalau 3D. Senengnya karena dapat tantangan, bingungnya "how laaarrr??" hihihi ( chinglish nya keluar deh).
Mulai-mulai nyari alhamdulillah dapet " how-to" nya....

Family dinner gathering

Ordered by my friend who want to make a surprise bday dinner for her mom in law. She asked me whether i can make a cake like this? while she showing her picture reference. I told her "ok i do my best, but can i change the theme not exactly same but still family dinner? " she said " ok as long as still family dinner and a fish on the table" then...this is it...."The CNY Family DInner or  makan besar".

Still far from perfectness, its quite difficult to make a human figurine, need to practice more and more, but i was very happy, because the hole family had a great time and excited about the surprise cake they were enjoyed.

CNY celebrate once a year, but to had a family gathering can be anytime, anywhere....

Cars 2 for Ihsan

"Dont forget ya mom, cars 2 design not cars 1"
that's the prerequisite for this cake. I was thinking what's the different between 1 and 2, since i don't have a son, so need to survey about the Cars.

Now...already knows what's the different, basically almost same only the back wing of the cars, the pattern on the body, and the sticker on the trunk.
I did my best to created this cars 2 for Ihsan birthday..hope he enjoy the birthday with the cars cake. And thanks for the order.

Princess Aurora for Salwa

when i delivered the cake to her house, and looked at her face saw the birthday cake, her face so happy hehehe...

Airplane 3D cake

 

Even though 2011 was over, i just had time to posted my last ordered during december 2011. Many things had to do during dec 2011-jan 2012. Before January 2012 click over i will posted some of my creation during that period.

I got this order from my friend for her customer, she wasn't able to received the order that time. A bit worry at the beginning knowing my knowledge in cake decorating not good as her. Afraid her customer will disappointed with the result, but again i tried to do my best.

Back to the project, as a 3D cake the most difficulty is in the carving part to get exactly same shape, even away from perfection but i did my best to carved it.  To cover fondant in the oval shape also a challenged for me.  

The appearance of this cake can't  smooth as the cake was cheesecake with macadamia,  even the nut very fine grated still can see the rough surface of the nuts. But finally i did it....hopefully she enjoy the cake. Many thanks for the orders friend, with hopefully delights of this cake.
